Vladimir Ossipoff: Born in Russia November 25, 1907—residing in Hawaii for much of his life when he died in 1998.  He grew up in Japan and graduated from UC Berkley in 1931 and went on to become an American architect famous for Hawaii Modern architecture. One of my favorites of his more famous homes is the Lilijestrandhouse an amazing Kama’aina (local hawaiian) style home on Oahu.  

Ossipoff designed this property to have perfect airflow with the trade wind breezes allowing for cool temperatures throughout the condo all year. Made from coral cement blocks, it is a strong and durable construction.  Poolside is a lovely experience with ocean surf noises nearby.
